Finally Home..

I finally reached India and what an excursion this trip turned out to be... Now I know a lot of movies in Hollywood and Bollywood are not entirely fictitious....

Less green side of the fence:
All my Flights i.e. at Milwaukee, Newark and Mumbai were delayed. Seemed like every place I stopped by, fell in love with me and wanted me to stay a li'l longer than scheduled..:)I spent 2 days in Newark.

The ecstacy of having landed in India was very shortlived... when I had a glimpse of the place I had to spend the night...a certain Hotel Midland in Mumbai... The locality and the cab drivers had me erase all my pleasant mumbai experience the previous time I had a stop over ( Sid and his mom had been angels!).
I exhausted "7 habits..." and every word on "Times of India"and knew what was running in each of the 72 channels... and still had a lot of time on me till it was 7.00 in the morning....

Greener side of the fence:
I had an oppurtunity to meet and catch up with JD in Newark. He took us to some desi bazars which had a totally desi feel.. the names of the shops read "Payal Beauty Parlor", "Alibaba Complex", "King Kabab" etc.... A food eat-out called "Galaxy" which had lovely Dhoklas, Dhabelis and evn Sugar Cane Juice was my fav...
I felt the long stop over at Newark was worth it when I luckily bumped into Robin Singh, yep ..the cricketer at the Newark International Airport...I took the oppurtunity to take his autograph!!! ... but in the excitement, forgot I was carrying a camera too..:(

I also made some nice friends ..some of whom even offered jobs.:) [The DM of pharma(equivalent of IHLD in Infy) at Satyam was my fav...]I have never known so many people on my flight before..:)

Finally when I reached Mangalore, mom confessed that she had imagined the worst when I had informed her about the delays. She went to extent of thinking probably my plane had been hijacked and I was being held hostage when I called...:)

Anyways, Allz well that ends well…:)

After spending a couple of days with my parents and another couple of days with my grand parents, I am back to Trade Support.
